What goes through my head as I process or try to understand something.
Lightbulb Moment

I understand this,
I'm sure I do,
but I'm still in the dark right now.
That concept,
that action,
that original thought
eludes me,
and right now there's just emptiness
in my mind.
An emptiness
full of shifting gears,
racing, whirling thoughts
all trying to make the connection.
From every angle
I look at this;
from different beginnings,
I start,
all with different results,
all moving toward a breakthrough,
all shaping my soon-to-be understanding.
In an instant
I combine the right angle
with the right beginning
and suddenly the light turns on,
and my head is full to bursting
with the total understanding
I now possess.
Suddenly I'm making my own conclusions,
creating my own beginnings,
and forming my own ideas,
umbrella-ed by a lightbulb.
This, I understand.
