There is an epidemic of bullying in far too many schools
Carey

Carey was the apple in her mother's eye
She didn't know her daddy, since he said good-bye
Raised with little more that the shirt on her back
School was even more than a  big setback

Her mother washed her clothes, always on time
But the ever thinning fabric was past its prime
The yellow stains from sweat could not be hid
And the pain from all the kidding was never undid

chorus

They say love is the answer
But love can't always be found
Like a flower alone in a forest
Carey was well out of bounds

Laughter was the order of every day
They taunted her at school in every way
She came into some money bought some stylish threads
But it seems her adversaries had her marked for dead

It was 20 years ago to this very day
That the kids wouldn't let Carey get away
They ran her into the forest; brought things to a head
But all the papers said, is they found her dead
