Late one night alone in bed

a thought of you came into my head.

It was not dull nor without light

but full of mercy, grace, and sight.

Energy flowed between the clouds

above the ceiling without a sound.

The lightning roared the thunder cracked

should I awake or just bow down.

Serene yet gentle soft drops may roll

against the cold and heartless window.

Coming down from midnight skies

the rain brings blessings in disguise.

How must I act and where am I found

throughout the nations or underground?

The righteous are hurting, the saints are bound,

yet nowhere is our Lord to be found!

In my dismay a calamity lingers as I impart,

sin is losing your life with a beating heart.

The moment was over the time is clear.

It must be NOW!  Please respond and let me hear.

My sincere heart is trembling and broken again

I am debating Christ’s reprimand.

Beneath my skin the sin doth reveal

I'm living a lie, "My Lord you will heal."

Preparation endures in the dark empty shell

as gatherings, feasts, and celebrations do tell.

To Him be the glory – refresh, not deny –

the living Christ Jesus who loves even I.
