Papa Lavalier - Sweet Dreams
I’m not that little boy I used to be

I’ve grown up so much but you can’t see

I’m here to take away all your pain

Forget everything I’ve done and start again

The thing I hate most is what I am

I hate myself that this thing ever began

I love you more than anyone ever can

You’ve shown me what it means to be a man

I’ve changed so much

I’m someone new

You wouldn’t even recognise me now

But I still love you

I’ll be your shoulder to cry on

Your hand to hold

I’ll wrap you in my jacket

When we’re walking in the cold

I’ll walk in just a t-shirt

In minus two degrees

I’ll tuck you in every single night

And hope you have sweet dreams

I’ll take you out every Friday Night

I’ll buy you presents just because

I’ll make you see I’m a different man

The man I never was
