Sometimes it takes finding a new love to heal the heart
Quietly i lay in bed with
Thoughts running rampant in my head.
I had once thought my heart dead.
Now i see this is not true.
For my mind is filled with images,
Glorious images of you.

You led me from the dark,
Deserted depths of
An on going wood.
Where hauntings and
Heartache once took.
Still some pain lingers,
But that seems to disappear
Once we intertwine our fingers.

From that dark deserted wood you led me,
To a place wonderful and bright.
Skies filled with blue and
Not cut off from the light.
I find myself no longer haunted,
The heartache i no longer fear.
Just please keep your hand in mine
And promise my sad, sunken heart will heal.
