Pond Poetry rnd 37 Interlocking Rubaiyat
Flowers break ground from barren land
One bud unfurled held in my hand
Soft and pink, its scent so rare
Reminds me of a time so grand.

She wove the flower in her hair
Spring rains made fresh the morning air
The dew on grass tickled her feet
The sun shone down on skin so fair.

A robin sang a song so sweet
Fleeting winter made quick retreat.
We stood under an arch of green
As one I felt our two hearts beat.

The buzz of bees heard but not seen
Mother Nature gave life a sheen.
A perfect vision, newly awakened Spring;
Its beauty created a background scene.

As butterflies unfurled their wings
We found that Cupid his arrow did sling.
On her finger I slipped the wedding band
Best wishes and love our union did bring.
