Growth is hard and you can lose the idea of who you are but it can be found again
At times I lose my sense of self
Of who I am and who I'm becoming
The I that is ME no longer exists
I drift along as the pale vessel
That no longer holds anything of importance
So paper thin so ready to fall apart
At the slightest breeze of disappointment
That hearing anything but that
Becomes an impossibility
I listen intently then waiting shivering
But disapproval isn't all that I hear
In the background off in the distance
Like a thought I can't recall is a sound
A wordless low persistant hum
This almost musical noise
Strums at my mind my memory
The chords of my heart and soul
I know what this is
I know who this is
I am ME again and I am full
Of thoughts and actions and words
Full of hope and wonder
And oh how I shine with brilliant colors
And sparkle with diverse facets
I am Me again - all of ME
