If you offend easily, then I'd advise you to find another item to review.
I'm an asshole; a real jerk- let me tell you. I used to be a nice guy when I was oblivious to the stupidity of everything around me. I work in Public Relations and come into contact with some of the most loathsome idiots. A lot of people will probably read on for a while before realizing that they're the ones I'm talking about. I'm going to offend a crap-load of people, so, if you're on welfare, a Republican, a religious fanatic, a patchouli-wearing hippie or a tight-ass wine-sipping, BMW-driving, North Face jacket-wearing screw, then you'll likely read on, just so you'll have something to bitch about and be offended by. Maybe you'll find something is misspelled and you'll leap at the opportunity to use your own brand of witty sarcasm to show me the error of my ways. In no way, though, should you ever believe that I actually care about your opinion, since the world doesn't revolve around you-it revolves around ME.

So, without further ado, I present a work-in-progress:

What  In  The  Hell  Is  Wrong  With  You  People?

I used to work the graveyard shift at a 7-Eleven until about a year ago. During the few years I worked that shift, I saw a lot of weird stuff. Before I started in that line of work, I was blissfully ignorant to the absurdity of our welfare system. For one, we reward women for each baby they have despite the accessibility of contraceptives. I'm not saying that the man isn't somewhat responsible, but it's still more your responsibility since it's YOUR BODY. Why don’t they reward you for being smart and walking your ass to the store for some Trojans? Instead, we’ve got millions of sick-o’s who view their children as paychecks.

I believe that there is some organization which has made it their calling to lower the world population-I guess New World Order would best describe them. Projects like HAARP could be used to control the weather-decimating cities with storms. The welfare system offers free food-the most affordable being the lowest in nutrients and highest in fat, calories, sugar, sodium, etc. The media-via commercials and other ads suggest like broken records that Hamburger Helper, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Doritos, etc. is the food you should buy. With flavors manufactured in laboratories, no wonder it’s so hard to eat just one.

This raises another point-Medicaid. Medicaid is (for those who don’t know) for welfare recipients. I absolutely do not have a problem with people receiving medical help, however, when they’re being treated for controllable illnesses due to smoking, excessive drinking or obesity, they should be required to pay a fee like a copayment on insurance. If they can afford their cigarettes or booze, they should be equally as dedicated to finding enough money to see a doctor. I heard recently that around half of all welfare recipients are smokers. I’m in no way being a hypocrite here-I quit smoking after 16 years and I haven’t sipped from a bottle in over 2 years. I work out regularly, watch what I eat and read up on health and fitness constantly. As a smoker, I was spending around $150.00 per month on something that was making me sick and weak and inevitably killing me. From my perspective, selling greasy food, sugary junk, alcohol and tobacco to ignorant customers made me feel like a peddler of death and poison. Not only did I become disappointed in people for eating the crap they ate, but I also became angry at them for being so stupid. Even my family was doing it. I lost a bit of weight when I started lifting. Recently someone asked if I was healthy because I looked thinner. I thought it was odd that no one was concerned for my health when I was overweight with less muscle mass, smoking a pack-plus a day and skipping meals constantly. What is wrong with you people?

I’ve seen some sad shit as a third shift worker. I’ve worked in lower income/welfare neighborhoods as well as uppity, silver spoon communities where they all believe they’re better than you because they’re dog’s monogrammed  bed cost more than your car. That’s not saying much for those people when the best clerks in the store would rather quit or transfer to the rough side of town just so they don’t have to go home every day feeling like someone shit on them. The wealthier you are, the more out of touch you become with the Human condition. That’s exactly why I’m wondering why the Hell Trump is even thinking of running for ANY office, EVER, let alone the Presidency. He’s the boss who looks down on his employees because he feels he’s better than them. The majority of us have nothing in common with him. And, if you think I’m a jerk about welfare moochers, just imagine what his opinion is of a lazy good-for-nothing with no aspirations. As far as Trump goes, though, I believe it’s just a retarded publicity stunt for the masses to gnaw on at the trough of what passes for entertainment.

The entertainment industry is another disappointment- like a dry heave. There’s little out there that can test the intelligence of a population aside from the cinema. I’m a collector of black and white/silent films as well as pretty much every era. I see our modern industries remaking old films over and over. Just recently, however, they’ve been bringing comics and graphic novels to life. This was an idea that thrilled me- at first- but most just made me want to leap from the tallest building. It was like they were all aimed at children and the mentally handicapped and to my expected disappointment, it seemed like everyone was biting at the bit to not only shell out $10 for a ticket, but to come to the 7-Eleven and rummage through my Slurpee cups for the most collectible prints. While they filled up their Spiderman mugs with frozen sugar, I wondered if they realized what was in that mixture and if they did, would they  care?  Probably  not.

I wasn’t a bad looking guy before I began my “Life Change,” but I’m sure I smelled like cigarette smoke and I know I wasn’t nearly as strong as I sincerely thought I was. I’m proud that I can look back on who I was then and laugh at the simple fact that the “me” now could hand him his ass. I also keep in mind that this will be a reoccurring theme for as long as I stick to it. I didn’t change my lifestyle overnight, though, so don’t believe it was so easy for me. I never realized that the physical effects of nicotine and menthol withdrawal would last as long as it did for me-over 2 months after the cravings were gone. I’ve quit eating red meat and pork (13 years ago,) but the most difficult thing for me to resist is sodium. I imagine it’s that way for most Americans-Salt and sugar could be just as addictive as drugs like nicotine and alcohol. It’s hard to determine who’s rights should be infringed upon when trying to cure the people of their addictions. On one hand, you couldn’t just take something off the market or install another prohibition on anything that’s already legal. Making it harder to get is still playing with fire where gangs and seedy elements could take advantage of an opportunity. Most restaurants refuse to print a nutrition label on their packages, but you can still go online to find it. How many people who eat fast food are truly  so  concerned with this they would  go online to research it? Usually people wait until it’s too late-until they’ve been diagnosed with some illness before they jump on the fitness bandwagon. That’s what happens when you leave it to the individuals to decide for themselves  in an environment where important, life-altering information is not provided and addictions are so strong that many would still eat it if it bore a crossbones and skull insignia on the wrapper.

Our Government has allowed this to happen. They aren’t as stupid and out-of-touch as most of us likely believe. If these people are bright enough to write up bills, addresses, deal in real estate and the stock market (a gamble based on predictions of future events,) then they damn sure have known where all of this was leading decades ago. If a layperson like me can see it without the spread sheets and pie charts, then my only conclusion is that this has all been planned. It could be a conglomerate of multiple corporations or an intricate web of sneaky politicians. Either way you slice it, someone is banking on this and when the economy takes a nosedive, these people will become extremely wealthy. Of course, that means the rest of us will become incredibly poor since we’ll end up shopping at our place of employment. I’m not a stock analyst or a financial whiz-  Hell, I’m not even that great at math, so I won’t drone on about something I know little of. I’ll only start to assume and speculate and I hate people who do that.

More to come…
