Based on my other poem "Friends", more refined piece on the same topic.
I met a real live person
Who was talented at dying
And other things too, a candle just like me
A candle just like you
His language spilled out
Ive said every word already, still
Ears were a plenty
It's a trick to be taught, provided your years would let me
See he was just one person, smirking at failure
That lust drenched saber
That brush dipped in favor of
A higher saturation

We were even applauded, since we had painted the room
Out the window was March, but I was feelin like June
Even when I could trace a line, from my pupils
To Anothers
The veils of overcast still tried to cover
That each wick ignited is
Spiraling towards depletion
A luminescent last breath,
That hits every right note
Bright flickering through smoke, a masters brush stroke
And when your last wax drips
And they discuss what went wrong
Least some will know the song
You were whispering all along
