A poem about someone who is there just because you are you
You choose to see me
for who I am inside
you choose to see the person
I no longer need to hide
you choose to be upfront
and say things to my face
but you don't make me feel small
and you're never on my case.

A lot of people come and go
throughout the life we lead.
many are acquaintances,
others, friends we need

But what happens when that friendship
is pushed up to the gate?
a test of strength and honesty
a sign of love or hate.

To know who your real friends are
is the greatest gift of all
the ones who'll stay and help you up
recover your greatest fall.

you have your mates, your friends, your best
maybe some enemies
but I have to say I'm truly blessed,
because you're a Friend to Me.
