How people are linked
You try to run away
From the memories that haunt you
You run away from your past
From the stories that weren’t true.

Burying unsavoury thoughts
In the deep cellar of your mind
You try to hide the guilt
You forget we’re so entwined

You and I are restless souls
We’re the misfits left behind
Travelling the word and seven seas
Not caring what we find
