a remake of ring around the roses.

Only three years old
Living in a tent.
Watching it all unfold,
’Cause they can’t pay the rent.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
Grab your teddy bear
As daddy starts to swear.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
Momma’s eyes start leaking
As you try to hide.
Daddy has been drinking,
Nothings gonna slide.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
You hear them yell
Then mamma fell.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
Can of gasoline,
Bucket of milk.
No time to intervene.
It all burns up like silk.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
Close your eyes
And say a prayer.
They all tell lies.
No, it ain’t fair!
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
The flames start burning out.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
You begin to pout.
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down.
Only three years old
Standing in the grass.
The “tent” begins to fold.
All that’s left is glass.

Ring around the roses,
Pocket full of posies.
Ashes! Ashes!
They both fell down.
