A poem about facing your own ghosts.
BOUND.

I turn away a million times.
I don't even acknowledge the fact that I have to know you.
You have no idea how you have this power over me.

Your sweet-sounding chanting.
Always in the back of my head.
I detest your indifference.

I focus on denying your existence.
For just a short while I fool myself
But you are too real to me.

I keep doing the best I can.
You bring out the worst in me.
Let me go.

FREE.

While I tenderly keep my distance.
Despite everything, you always pull me back.
You summon me.

Without reason, you ask of me.
But i am the truth.
Because I am your reality.

We both know that I cannot ever die.
Until you cease to let me live.
You have to accept me.

Everything will come together in pieces.
The world would lose its sight.
And you will learn to breathe.
