An anthem for a lost generation
You stood up tall,
Said what you had to say
So now you will apologize
Until your dying day
With bright sounds
You urged me
To join the acid orgy
And I will be paying
Until my dying day
You were the boom
We were the gloom
But it all is about you
By now that’s nothing new
It isn’t what you say
But what you always do

So bring out the leeches
With their cold, hard lives
And arm all the beaches
With hair-splitting knives
Because I will never need
I will never bleed
Another you

I met with all your sycophants
With their purple pills
And their potted plants
Who never once gave me
A second glance
With their eyes on the mirror ball
They couldn’t hear
The forest fall

So bring out the leeches
With their cold, hard lives
And arm all the beaches
With hair-splitting knives
Because I will never need
I will never bleed
Another you

We have no magic powers
We can't save the word
By passing out flowers
This isn't your revolution
This one is all ours

So bring on the leeches
With their cold, hard lives
And arm all the beaches
With hair-splitting knives
Because I will never need
I will never bleed
Another you
