Sometimes I just want to rewrite the ending.
That’s not the ending I wanted;
It was never supposed to be this way.
I can’t just sit and watch
While you slowly fade away.
I can’t do this anymore.
The tears running down my face
Stamp sincerity at its worst.
My hearts broken; it can’t race.
It didn’t have to be this way.
We could have forgotten time.
You could have said you were sorry.
I could have said that I was fine.
And here I am now, all alone.
Sitting and wishing you were here.
Wishing I could have rewritten the end
So I’m not alone with these tears.
