A poem of desolation and lonliness.
Ocean in ocean out
Breathe in breathe out

Salt settles on my face
Salt on salt
Sun on sunburn
Fingers fidget
Shirt collar flutters
The sand dries on my feet
The jeans, still damp
From that last big wave
A birds call
A distant train
Blend with the acoustics
Of my heart

I was never a sea person
