A diary entry about inspiration.
Dear diary,
I displayed the first nature poem I have ever written on writing.com today! It's written in Diary Volume Three, the pink one, where it is originally identified as " Poetry Lying On My Bed", which is where I happened to be when inspiration struck. Inspiration's always like that; it hits you at the most peculiar timings, and you've got to be quick to write it down, otherwise it's gone forever. At least, that time, Diary Volume Number Three was lying under the purple pen and patiently waiting for a good rant or two about school or some description of a story when crack! Inspiration tapped me on the shoulder and I looked up, out of my window, at the beautiful sunshiny day, and the cotton-candy clouds; and before I knew it my hand muscles were pumping, my pen working furiously and the words just gliding effortlessly onto the paper in the form of a lovely poem. It's like a part of me is a dam, and when Inspiration lifts it, the ideas just start flowing through, and then- there's no stopping me from churning out a good piece of writing in record time. Inspiration just loves surprising people; indeed, you never see that little brown hand reaching for the dam before whoosh! and you're drowning in great ideas.
