This is a poem, essay, not sure exactly, but I would really appreciate feedback.
[Introduction]
I'm going to say peace to this town, and what's been holding me down.
An angry beast trapped inside, in a magnificent bind, in this dark extravagant mind.
Peace like the last three words in the past four lies, holding on to the truth that never dies.
Caught since womb into this place, this point, I got to burn the time with more than a joint.
Have to prove to a god, that heaven is on Earth. Trying to make it towards the wind and surf.
Natives dance towards the realm of thought, the crowd chants the powers they sought.
Their guide brings dreams into reality, a psychedelic journey into duality.
One with all that exists in the universe, so simple yet impossible to converse, to a being who has to see things first.
I'm being liberated from this four kilometer cell, and to a few sheep, who's hearts are weak, this is the hell they choose to dwell.
And I say this "I am the way," and the way, is the way, is the only way.
The way is the light, the light of the pure consciousness. The thought on the crown is apart of this, what has caused us to lose our senses, it's senseless.
Nonsense to call this shit progress, what we want is that one guess, that last breath, a vision of death. Spiritual sleep, a cosmic leap into the heart and mind of the ones who know. This is how our brain processes the show. Take a little piece, filter out the real shit, get familiar with it and then explore a new ending.
When it's through, we're just spending lives and mending this broken homefront. This nation's a runt,
prick of the litter, so young Uncle Sam needs a baby sitter. We need to deal, with the constant nonsense from our other conscience.
The one that leads us away from the truth, the one shot in a booth,
with no rhyme, no reason for the next swell season.
To take this break as I needed it, to take the time as I conceived it, means I mean it.
Cut none so you feel this one, as if it was your son, your project.
It may feel like just a concept, but the way I see it, they won’t let us believe it until the day we show the world that it can cure. Itself, the present, and the conscious pure.
It’s all one and I’m here for the ride, let’s just hope that no one as lied.
Build the Dream, before their Dream builds you.
