a poem of feelings and desires evoked from nature
I feel the breeze blowing my hair
I hear the birds chirping in the air
Oh how I long to be that free
To fly above the Earth or perch in a tree

I smell the hint of summer rain
I see a horse frolicking on the plain
Oh how I long to run that fast
To run so far I forget my past

I feel the chill of night coming on
I hear the crickets starting their song
Oh how I long to sing so well
To sing so loud I come out of my shell

I smell the smoke from a bonfire
I see moths dancing, full of desire
Oh how I long to dance with such grace
To feel so alive in this time and space
