All about me
Me

I was born in fifty three
My twin sister - Helen and me;
I was called Christine Jane,
Not too bad a name.
Something’s not quite right with me.
When I walk you can see.
It doesn’t bother me at all
Even though I sometimes fall.
Anyway I learnt to ride a bike,
Easier than going for a hike!
They always said “its best to swim”
‘Cos it strengthens every limb”
But I wasn’t in such a hurry,
I really don’t know why they worry.
At school I was quite mild
An insignificant little child.
I didn’t do too much wrong,
But I liked to sing a song,
Even though I couldn’t hear
The tunes were never right I fear!
But I grew up quite well
Although I gave my parents hell
My misspent youth was at “the Poly”
Looking hippy and feeling jolly.
Met my first love on the bus,
But it was never “just us”
He always had his Mum in tow,
So he was the first to go!
My second love was never free
So he could never marry me.
Finally I became a wife,
And never had so much strife.
A husband he would never be
He liked the drink better than me!
So when he left it was relief
To end it gave me no grief.
Now pregnant with my second chile
I’d already had my first a while,
My daughter she is pretty clever
She’s fourteen now and called Heather.
Lawrence Andrew is my son
He’s really the artistic one.
So now Ive reached nearly fifty
Lived a life of being thrifty,
I have my home and my car,
Friends and relatives near and far.
So Ive done a lot as you can see,
So what will the next fifty years be?
