When General Klump eats a strange green blob, his gut turns into a ravonous monster.
"Agh! These things are everywhere!" General Klump walked through the forest next to some of his soldiers, brushing past big leaves and swatting away pesky bugs. He and the other Kritters were sent on a mission by King K. Rool to search through some previously uncharted land on Kongo Bongo Island. No one, not even the Kongs had been in this area. It was all the way in the middle beyond Rool's domain.
Klump was finding it hard to withstand the obstacles they faced. With each step they took, the jungle got darker and the path they followed was disappearing. 'Pretty soon we'll have to turn around before we get lo...'.
"Sir, I think... I think we're lost"
"What!?" The general turned and looked all around him to see that the path was already gone. They were in the middle of the dark forest with no guide to lead them home. "You idiots! I thought I made it clear to keep your eye on the path!"
"We were sir, but you were day dreaming and so frustrated with everything that we didn't want to bother you."
"Gah! I always have to do the work around here!" He walked over to a large bolder and slumped down onto it. Klump rubbed his tired eyes and massaged his temples. Everything had to be so complicated with these morons! His thoughts were interrupted by a deep rumble that came from his stomach. 'Oh great. Now I'm hungry!' He placed a hand on his big belly, trying to figure out what to eat. He didn't bring anything with him and they were stuck in the middle of who-knows-where with no knowledge of the edible wildlife in the area. But then, one of his men called out.
"Sir! I think I see something! It's over by that tree!"
Klump looked over to where the Kritter was pointing and saw something small near the trunk of a giant tree. A column of light shone through a hole in the canopy, beaming down on the object. He quickly jogged over to the thing, which made his gut bounce with each step. When he got close to the object, he bent over to examine it. What he saw was totally unexpected and out of place. It was a small, green blob just lying on the ground. It was translucent and seemed to refract the light in a peculiar way, almost like a soap bubble. Klump raised an eyebrow. 'What is this thing?'. He reached out to grab it.
"Wait general! I don't think you should touch it. It could be poisonous or have diseases or something."
"A true general fears nothing, soldier!" Though he did have to admit he feared King K. Rool a bit. Klump picked up the substance and noticed that it was like jello, how it wobbled in his hand with the slightest shake. He stared at it for a few seconds, wondering if he should put it back. But then, another growl emitted from his stomach, his belly vibrating from the deep groan. Some of the other Kritters noticed this and wondered what he was thinking. The general eyed the gelatin with greed. 'Well, I am hungry, and it's probably just some jello that someone dropped. Can't be that big of a deal'. Without further hesitation, Klump opened his mouth, sucked the blob in like thick sirup, and tilted his head back. "GULP!" His huge swallow echoed through the jungle as a small bulge slithered down his throat. The Kritter soldiers just stood there with their mouths gaped, unable to process the action they just witnessed. Did he seriously just eat that thing!? Was he really that dumb? (But they were one to talk)
All of the Kritters, including Klump, then heard a loud 'plop' as the jello-thing entered his stomach juices. The general rubbed his gut in satisfaction. "Heh! Actually tasted pretty good!" He licked his fingers free of the leftover residue, smiling devilishly.
"Sir! How could you have eaten that?! You have no idea what it even is!"
"Or where it's been." one Kritter said, trying to get a cheap laugh.
But Klump wasn't listening. He was too happy that he had gotten something to eat. What were the odds of finding something this good in the middle of the forest that was edible? But now, he had to get back to King K. Rool before the sun set. So, he led his troop towards the direction he thought they came from, while still rubbing his belly with glee.

About an hour passed of continuous marching and bad chanting.
"Hip-Hup, Hip-Hup, whatcha got?"
"A big fat butt!"
"Hip-Hup, Hip-Hup, what've I got?"
"A great big gut!"
Klump was still remembering the great meal he had. He hadn't stopped massaging his gut since then. His mind constantly flowed with the taste of the blob that was now sitting in his stomach like a small lead sinker. The other Kritters, however, were not so convinced that their general made the right decision by eating it. They never found out what it was or why it was there. It just didn't make sense.
Time passed slowly, so some of them tried to play games as they marched. "I spy with my little eye, something green." The other Kritters all answered 'themselves', when he really meant the leaves, but none of them were smart enough to figure that out. Klump just ignored their childish behavior. He hated being the only smart Kremling in all of Kong Island, even King K. Rool wasn't as smart as him. He knew up from down, black from white, and day from night. It made him proud and irritated at the same time. But then, about a few minutes later, he stopped abruptly, bending over and cradling his belly. He moaned as if he were in severe pain... or maybe he actually was!
"General, are you alright?" one of the soldiers asked.
"Eh, yes. I'm... I'm fine. Just a little bowel problems. No big deal." The commander rubbed his belly, hearing a loud gurgle erupt out loud and feeling it shake his gut. He stood up straight and took a deep breath, trying to ease the pain. He began to feel a little better, but he then noticed that it was getting dark out. The sky began to turn a bluish-black as twilight came around. They'd never make it back to King Rool in time with no light. With a sigh of defeat, Klump decided just to set up camp where they were for the night and shove off again in the morning.

The Kritters agreed to take turns guarding the troop while they were asleep, in case if trouble arrived. They all slept in a big group, trying to conserve warmth, while General Klump wanted to be the rebel by sleeping by himself away from the other large reptilians. But during the whole night, his stomach continued to groan and plea without an end. All he could do was lay in a fetal position and hug his belly in agony. "Oh, why won't you hush up!?" He squinted, now not being able to take the pain. As he stared at the bark of the tree in front of him, he pondered as to what he could have ate that made his stomach so upset. 'Maybe it was those garlic cloves I had for breakfast. I ate at least 100 to go through the day. But boy do they produce some serious gas! I wonder if they've been digested yet?'  Klump let out a small, audible burp. A foggy grey cloud of breath rose out of his mouth. He took a whiff. The stench stung his snout like acid. 'Ugh!Yep, they're still in there!' He patted his gut in approval. Yet not once did the green blob he ate that day cross his mind. He refused to believe that what he'd eaten posed as a threat. It was just jello! Just some leftover gelatin someone forgot about. Then, for some odd reason, he became lightheaded, his vision getting blurrier by the second. And as Klump was about to call for help, he drifted off into a deep sleep.

One of the Kritters woke up to the sound of something bubbling. It sounded something similar to big air bubbles popping as they rise out of water. But this sound didn't have much 'pop' at the end, more of a deep, heavy 'bloop'. Plus, it was continuous with no pause. Curious, he got up and looked around, searching for the source. Nothing looked suspicious, except the fact that the unreliable guards fell asleep on duty. He strained his hears and heard the sound coming from where Klump was laying. The Kritter tip-toed over to the short Kremling. He could hear the noise getting louder, yet he couldn't pinpoint where it came from. That was until he got a closer look. The general's belly was bubbling with what appeared to be his own fat. The smooth body plate looked like a big cauldron of boiling yellow fluid, each bubble being as big as a billiard ball! All this time, Klump never even stirred. It was as if he was knocked out by a drug.
The soldier was beyond words as to what he was looking at. It couldn't be physically possible! How was this happening?
An idea then spawned in the Kritter's mind. He looked around until he found a stick sitting next to the tree Klump was sleeping at. The soldier then took the stick and faced the general. Slowly, he lowered it towards his gut until it touched the bubbling fat. The stick then sank into the liquid scale-plate and simmered. He began to move it around and stir the fluid just like a witch brewing up a sinister potion. The Kritter was quite entertained for some time, constantly swirling his mixer with a grin of pleasure. But at on point, the stick slipped out of his grasp as it descended into the boiling blubber. The stunned soldier just watched it disappear.
(Now, as you know, the Kritters, or all Kremlings in that matter, are not smart. They simply judge life through trial and error and what they already know, which isn't much. So, when they see something that they have never seen before, they're first instinct is to  do a simple action that will get a result they want. In this case, the Kritter wanted the stick back, so what did he do?)
The Kritter then reached his arm out towards Klump's belly to try and retrieve the stick from inside. As his fingers dug into the thick flab, he noticed it was actually nice and warm like fresh bread from the oven. Originally, the Kremling intended on simply grabbing it and coming back out. But the result he got was not what he wanted.
His hand suddenly began to sink into the general's bubbling gut, creating ripples in the yellow fat. The soldier panicked and tried to pull it out, but to no avail. His arm kept sinking until he was up to his elbow in hot flab. "Guys! Help me! HELP ME!"
All of the Kritters then woke up to see their friend's arm halfway in their commander's belly. Startled, they rushed over to aid the soldier. For a while, all they did was watch dumfounded as he sunk into Klump's big gut. "Help me you guys!" Everyone grabbed his waist and pulled. At first, it started to work, the Kritter's arm slowly slipped out of the liquid trap, but then it didn't. Klump's belly began to groan loudly, and as it did, the waves of fat began to engulf the Kritter's arm. The soldier cried out as all the others did as well. Within seconds, he disappeared into the commander's stomach, creating a big lump that had the features of the soldier's face. Then, all of the other Kritters began to sink in; (once again, the instinct to let go didn't apply to them). Because they remained in a group, Klump's gut couldn't get them in as fast as the first one. But with another deep groan, his belly sucked all of the Kritters inside in one smooth motion so fast that if you were there, all you would see is a green blur and hear a slurp sound.

Every one of the soldiers now resided inside Klump's belly, tightly squeezed into the soggy stomach walls. It reaked of garlic and other ungodly smells. They then noticed something in the middle of his stomach. A small, green blob. The Kritters were shocked that it had not been digested yet. Suddenly, it began to grow in size, getting bigger and bigger with each passing moment. The Kritters screamed and shrieked frantically, but no one could hear them. They were muted by five inches of fat. Finally, the blob engulfed them all and took up the entire space of the stomach. It didn't take long before they suffocated.

From the outside, Klump's belly was bulging out well over three feet. Yet despite everything that happened, Klump never stirred. He still remained in a deep slumber, having dreams about being king of Kongo Bongo Island. Even as the Kritters were slowly digested inside his distended gut, he didn't flinch. And when the time came that he woke up, he wouldn't remember a thing.
