Taking risks is sometimes the best answer to the hardest questions.
Among the tall apartment buildings and houses stretched across city blocks,
lives a world created within a cardboard box.
The only dreams exist to figure what lies beyond,
far from conventional wisdom and lies agreed upon.
These dreams hide in shadows created by the walls.
The sky is guarded, so darkness solely falls.

Silly idealistic girls and boys,
stunted by mindless television and video game toys.
They have no essence of the beauty that lies outside.
Instead there are tales of danger and fear-driven lies.

They grow angry and jilted by captivity within.
They begin to wreak havoc on the ego-destroying din.
A world rich with opportunity is shaped as a fairy tale,
of times when people set out only to fail.

Perhaps it's jealousy of parental dreams once passed,
or fear of broken hearts leaving scars of sadness.
No one knows for sure, but one thing is suffice it to say,
blindness to wonder hasn't work out anyway.

So next time you clip those wings and set a youthful soul into premature disappointment,
think about how much better life could be, if only you lived it.
