Dual purpose of walls.
These walls, like prison bars, surround this room,
closing it in,
shutting
it off from the world.

These are the walls that hold the sounds,
that feel the fury.
They hold the screams captive,
refusing to set them free.

These walls see the horrors,
they see lives being stolen,
they witness childhood disappearing.
They see a family fall apart,
one child at a time.

These walls see the after effects of
betrayal, and
the corruption of an innocent mind.
They hold all of the yelling, and the
breaking down of the human soul.

These walls are crumbling,
crumbling down.
