What is Early Childhood Education? how to get trained as a teacher in this field?
What is ECE?

Early Childhood Education is a term that refers to educational programs and strategies geared toward children from birth to the age of eight. These programs refer to the combination of physical, intelligence/cognitive, emotional, and social learning of a child during his/her formative years.

It includes

1.          Early stimulation programmes 0-3 years

2.          Pre-school / ECE programmes 3-6 years

3.          Early primary education programme 6 onwards

Why ECE?

Researchers have shown that early eight years in any children’s life are crucial time because during this phase their brain develops at a faster rate and much of its 'wiring' is laid down.

Education starts at home and extends itself to school. We also agree that the pre-primary years are the most important milestone in a child’s life long journey of learning and development.

It is therefore extremely critical that this first experience in learning is enjoyable, stimulating and worth the while. Thus Early Childhood education provides a platform for learning and exploring in the years to come.

Who can contribute towards ECE?

Children learn best within positive relationships – with their parents and families, with their peers and with well-trained early childhood educators.

          Being an early childhood educator is a unique profession that's as much a life calling as a career.

          Dedication, passion and patience – ready to work hard to mould little minds are the qualities must for the Early childhood educators

          If you can communicate and express your self you can do wonders with these toddlers.

          If you think you do have potential and ability to make a positive impression on child’s vulnerable mind. You are the candidate to work with these children

How to be an effective preschool teacher?

          As ‘Ever Garrison’ says "A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils."

           Such teachers aren’t born, they are among us, may be even you – if you are adequately trained.

          Housewives, just graduated girls can be enrolled in such training programmes and contribute to society, while being independent without neglecting the family.

           In our city we have an institute that believes in above mentioned theories and is functioning with a sole purpose of producing teachers who are thoroughly trained to teach young minds.
