A short poem
I want to be a writer I told myself one day
But when I sat down to write the words all went away

I took a walk outside to clear my head a bit
Enjoying God’s creations around me, I did sit

As I looked more closely an object was revealed
Glistening in the sunshine was a silver quill

It is amazing the words I write today
The ink flowing smoothly and filling every page

I give my God the glory for giving me this gift
And filling it with all the words I now am writing with

May these words I write always reveal
The love our Father has for us through this silver quill
