Written for my youngest granddaughter.
Angel Baby

I have the most beautiful, little lady,
In fact, she’s always been our angel baby.
Her honey–blonde hair, frames her oval face,
While angel kisses dot every lovely space.

Her teeth are somewhat amiss, right now,
But warm luscious lips will be her fate.
Surrounding those beautiful pearly whites,
Is a smile that will melt any man’s heart.

Her legs and arms all skinny and lanky,
With a quirky attitude that is a little cranky.
Her torso fits a little too perfectly proportioned.
With her hips adopting that pendulum motion.

With such a beauty comes grace and style,
A slight nod, with an all too grown-up smile.
Shimmering, vivacious, vibrant blue eyes,
Holds the secrets to all of the adult lies.

When she thinks her transformation is complete,
She will understand what we have said all along,
She is God’s most gracious feat.
