blah blah blah
This body is a temple
With a bomb under its coat
Gunpowder and glass
A tell-tale heart won’t ask to explode

The blast happens to end fast
Shrapnel stings into your throat
Your blood-gurgled gasps
Trickle life
While I cough up sand and smoke

Who made it safe?
Human grenade
Can’t go away
I’m all over the place

A child of the phoenix
I’ve come back to wake you up
You think it, I’ve seen it
I rise from the ashes of mountains that erupt

This body is a temple
A vessel and nothing but
When I’m swallowing my new breath
That old temple falls to dust

Who’ll make it sane?
Human charades
Won’t go away
It’s all over the place
