A short poem.
‘So you’ve graduated’

‘I will this year.’

‘What career are you pursuing’

‘Haven’t quite decided yet’

‘Ambition is very important,

You should have a base.’

‘Certainly, it’ll work out.’

That’s all I mumble to myself.

The college essay topic quotes,

“..applicant’s aim in life..”

I blankly stare,

No answers in mind.

‘Poetry is natural to you.’

‘With your imagination,

I wouldn’t stop at school.’

‘Architecture,

you were born for it dude.’

And after everyone’s help,

I’ve still got no clue.

‘Psychology,

Not every one can listen like you do’

‘Theoretical science, my child,

You grasp complex concepts soon.’

At the end of the day,

I’m still looking for ways

To just end this search

I’m in today.

Does it even matter

If one child like me

Decides to call this the end?
