Poem about a town.
Darkness swoops down on this lonely town,
A place where emotions run wild,
Anger,
Fear,
Lust,
Hate,
Sadness,
Lonlieness,
Love,
The people here are but shells,
Lifeless,
Staring into the darkness,
which now engulfs them,
Alone,
Wandering about,
In this modern desert,
This,
Concrete jungle,
This museum of what little humanity remains in us,
They have forgotten all they hold dear,
Family,
Joy,
Opprotunity,
Life,
A chance to be something,
A chance,
To be the change they wanted to see,
Breathe the life back into our civilization,
Enjoy what you have,
Because,
If you don't
You may end up,
Just like us.
