Chapter one
Three more minutes til the bell rings. The class was getting nosier than they were a minute ago. But everybody was getting hyped up as usual. Its a friday and we aint got but two minutes left in school now. I was just sitting at my desk, waiting. I pulled my hood over my head. Somebody threw a paper ball at the back of my head.
Kid: ay
I turned around to the kid.
Kid: pass me dat paper ball
I picked it up from the floor and threw it back to him from across the room. People was throwing paper and stuff now. I put my head on my desk to decrease the chances of me getting hit again. Am I the only one not acting a fool up in here? Suddenly, I heard the teacher walking back into the classroom, and just then, the bell rang. Everybody went stampeding out the door at once, all noisy and hyped as they left. They could still be heard down the hallways along with the other classes of fools that were dismissed. My teacher just stood in the middle of her class room, with her hands on her hips and looked at the room all around. Then she huffed and she shook her head. I was looking with her, the class room was a hot mess.
Teacher: (sighs) what do I have to do to keep these kids from trashin up my class like this...this is crazy
She shook her head again. Then she went over behind her desk and sat in her chair, put on her glasses and got back on her laptop. She didnt even have to look at me and she still noticed I was still in her class. I packed all my stuff in my bookbag.
Teacher: (still focusing on the laptop computer screen) why are you still here miss glace
Carmen: thats a good question, but Im gettin ready to leave now
I hovered my bookbag strap over my shoulder. I started to walk out the door when I thought about how messy those fools left her class
