When Dane wakes up in a local ASDA with no memory of how he got there, things get ugly
Pain. Mind numbing pain. that's what i felt as i awoke on a cold hard floor, at first my eyes would not open as if they were locked shut, but with a force of will they opened widely, wincing in the blinding light overhead, it felt like a school day only without me waking up on the floor almost dead as a Do-do, slowly i rose to my feet, not taking in the carnage that had befallen around me.

Once i adjusted to my senses and aching back and spine my eyes took in where i was, my local ASDA supermarket, and then the real shock came, over a dozen dead body's lay around me some with there flesh torn off, some not even recognizable as a person, i knew something had happened, something bad, but i was not prepared to face the threat itself face to face..... Teen to Zombie

As i took in the sights around me, i thought that i best not stay here long, i didn't know what happened, heck i didn't even know how i was still alive, all i knew was i had to get home and find a weapon, then it came to me ASDA wasn't known for harboring firearms but that was England for ya.

lacking the means to get conventional firearms i had to find a weapon, i knew this ASDA well i came to it often in my early years and it hadn't changed much since then, so i started to walk in the direction of the Household Isle, which had Plates, cups, Mops, Brooms, forks, Spoons and you guessed it Knives, and not just normal butter knives, kitchen Knives, small knives, big knives, long knives, wide knives and a combination of the two, after about 10 seconds of examining a number of Kitchen knives i picked out a long knife with a sharp end and several other smaller but still Deadly knives and a Broom Handle with no Broom end...

I gathered several other things from the isle close to me, A skipping rope, a Backpack and a nice long coat, i sat the Backpack on the ground next to me and i started to modify the skipping rope, using one of the knives i cut the two handles on both ends off so i had just a piece of rope, and then picking up the broom which was about 1.25 meters in length i laid it by the knife, and then i carefully started to wrap the broom and the knife together with the rope until it was nice and tight with a knot, then i examined my handy work and i deemed it acceptable.

Standing up, i put the backpack on and picked up my new make shift Spear, putting one of the small knives in the inside pocket of the coat for quick access i was ready to go.

Turning around i started to walk towards the exit on the far side of the shop, that exit was also the one that would of taken me closer to home, Suddenly i paused at a distance, Spotting a figure by the entrance with there back turned, i started to walk at a faster pace to reach the person quickly but as i got closer i started to notice that his were covered in splats of blood, blood that weren't his...

I called to him " yo fella, are you alright man?" the guy certainly heard me as he turned to face me, a gasp escaped my lungs as i saw the mans face or i should i say whats left of it, half his face was torn off , the left side of his face had bite and scratch marks as if his face was bit and chewed on by something and then i realized that this man was no longer human....

I raised my Spear in a defensive Posture ready to stab and cut if the time called for it, but i knew in a split second i was gonna need something better then a Spear, the creature screeched in a deafening inhuman roar, it's mouth as wide as it could go, then it charged, full pelt at me to rip and tear my flesh off.
