Life or death . . .
Love's Touch

Love's Touch

I sleep in the arms of the smile that I hold,
Awake in the morn, feeling bright-eyed and bold,
Enter the kitchen where reality, cold,
Reminds me you're gone, and my young heart feels old.

When the night's been serene, filled with mem'ries of love,
I cherish your visit from a realm far above.
A hike through the weald, donning your coat and your glove,
With my bare hand, stroke gently the wings of the dove.

Dark spirits still struggle for placement and power,
Love, you're a beacon that shines from a tower.
Deep breath. Now, you're here; fearsome demons must cower.
Together we'll walk 'long Heaven's shore this hour.
