the last goodbye.
I lie here with you,
watching you sleep,
a moment in time,
a memory to keep.

Moonlight glistening, kissing your hair,
like a scene from a movie,
I can't help but stare.

Here I lie, not for too long,
the doctors odds, 90 to 1.
Peaceful you are, asleep with night.
I kiss your head,
and give up the fight.
