A contradictory piece about there always being too many 'prompts' rather than 'no prompts'
No prompt

A word a look a sound a thought,

or the misty hint of a fragrance:

  the warm sultry dampness

fingering limp rose petals

  a subtle tint of autumn

A touch a feeling a sudden memory

of that hazy conversation

  held in the shifting cloud

of lingering syllables eases, amuses, creases, excuses

  the lazy word-girl her poem

even a 'no prompt' is too much
