it is a brief poem about remembering 9-11
Today is a day to remember
a day to regret
a day to forgive
and a day to forget

today is a day to embrace
a day to earn
a day to love
and a day to learn

Today we pause, and let out a sigh
we take a moment to see those hours of nightmare
today we think about those who did sadly die
we are sad and we realize how much we care

Today was the day that changed all our lives
just a few agonizing hours a decade ago
we pull together for comfort, ignoring those who would advise
then we break apart to begin a day so slow

We feel the pain of those who lost loved ones,
we feel the crumbling of the Twin towers,
and the hole appearing in the Pentagon
as planes explode upon them

We remember the bravery of the of the passengers
who tried to take back the plane from terrorists
ending it's deadly route upon a Pennsylvanian field.
when they could have just crouched and cried.

We feel the tears as we see the marines
circled around a daycare's babies
protecting them from any attacks
until their parents could come home.

It feels like just yesterday, that decade ago
and it probably always will
but we can help by remembering all that has been done
for us, the members of this strayed nation.

We will never forget.
