Time can be so cruel sometimes...
Oh, what a cruel master is Time!

I wish he were no master of mine.

Who sits on his throne in the sky

And fills the hearts of men with the lie

That our lives will go forever on,

Never changing, for death is gone.

A strange thought to think,

That no day is ever the same,

For all life is on the brink,

Of ever constant change.

Oh, what a cruel master is Time!

I wish he were no master of mine.

Who sits on his throne in the sky

And fills the hearts of men with the lie

That our lives will go forever on,

Never changing, for death is gone.

Today we are here,

Tomorrow there.

Is change a thing to fear,

Or a friend to embrace?

Oh, what a cruel master is Time!

I wish he were no master of mine.

Who sits on his throne in the sky

And fills the hearts of men with the lie

That our lives will go forever on,

Never changing, for death is gone.
