When regrets and despair take over you, the only one to help you out are your friends
Color me red,
color me yellow,
as anger and fear,
take me in their stride.

I look right behind, on
all the different paths,
that I could have probably
taken, in this ride.

Veering from my path,
and being led astray,
the shadows of my past
have now come to prey.

The colors in the surrounding
look much more bright,
as I paint my character
in shades of grey.

Color me green,
color me blue,
as envy and sadness,
shows my life untrue.

I see where I am standing,
and I see where I am going,
then I see all the people,
who have made it through.

Difference in potential,
then comes to light,
since all their achievements,
come out for display.

The colors in the surrounding
look much more bright,
as I paint my character
in shades of grey.

Color me white,
color me black,
as the shock of it all,
drains all my hope.

Feeling of failure,
of having left behind,
was too much to bear,
than I could ever cope.

A hand reached out to me,
and pulled me out,
as my friends came out,
made me join in a play.

The colors in my life
now look much more bright,
as they build my character
with rainbow clay.
