Poem about heartbreak
I swore I wouldn’t cry.
As you walked away from me.
I looked you in the eye,
And knew it wasn’t to be.

I swore I wouldn’t cry,
As I walked away too.
All you did was lie,
And I believed in you.

I swore I wouldn’t cry.
And I never did.
I cut and bled for every lie.
Marks that I then hid.

I swore I wouldn’t cry.
Not a single tear fell.
But drops of blood I can’t deny,
Each drop is a secret to tell.

I didn’t cry. I never cried.
I cut and bled, but you never even looked at me.
Every day I died a little inside.
But not a single tear fell; I won’t let you know you hurt me.
