Rainy day turns out good.
Word Count: 301.

An alarm clock went off next to the bed and a hand came from under the covers to turn it off. The first sound that could be heard was the rain pelting the windows. As the young lady lifted the cover from her face she glanced at the window. She was surprised the weather man was right about the weather for once. She thought the day was going to be a bad one because of the rain. Hopefully she would be wrong. With her mp3 player in her pocket she grabbed her umbrella on the way. When she made it to school her friends came running over to her.. The day felt like it was dragging on until the final bell rang. She and her friends ran to the auditorium to audition for the school musical. The musical director walked on stage and welcome to everybody to the audition. He then told them that the musical was appropriately picked for today we will be performing “Singin’ in the Rain” this year. The students that understood what he meant got a laugh from it.

After the auditions were over the four friends walked out the doors and went their separate ways. As she walked home the rain was letting up so she closed her umbrella and let the rain fall down on her. When she made it to the bride near her house she took off her shoes and walked through the puddles. With her mp3 player on she started to dance to the music and when she reached the middle of the bridge the song “Singin’ in the Rain” began to play. The song made her stop for a minute but then she continued the dance on her way home. The day turned out to be a good day after all.
