A tribute to the Union soldiers, especially the young black men.
My brother and friend,
Have my back to the end,
As Gettysburg turns red.

He's black and I'm white,
And today, that's all right,
Because Gettysburg turns red.

We fight the good fight,
To make everything right,
And watch Gettysburg turn red.

As the fight rages on,
We wait for the dawn,
When Gettysburg is red.

Under sky that is blue,
My shots fire true,
Making Gettysburg turn red.

We'll fight on some more,
To win us the war,
And watch our brothers die.

We'll cut down them all,
And watch bodies fall,
With hands thrown toward the sky.

Because black and white,
Matters not, tonight,
As Gettysburg turns red.
