A dialogue between two formerly connected people.
She said, "Why do you stare at nothing
When you used to stare at me?"
There were piles of dead carnations
Where her roses used to be

His voice, once like an angel's
Was barely to be heard,
"Because I used to love you
But now I shudder at the word."
