Tom Mannequin stands at a window,
Lifeless gaze on people passing by.
I look at him and see myself,
Two lonely souls under a clear, blue sky.

I wake up one lonely morning,
Have a breakfast of butter and ham.
I haven’t laughed for many a year, I think;
Tom Mannequin as sad as I am.

It’s the fifth avenue,
He stands at the window everyday.
People walking by, noses held high,
No matter, he doesn’t care anyway.

Oh God!
Give me wings, take me away.
Is life worth it, to die for it everyday.
Oh God! Take me away.
The world is too blind to see.
Oh please! Take me away,
And Tom Mannequin with me.
