Ask Bill Gates.
Nothing had happened for quite a few hours and Office Assistant was getting bored. ‘If you don’t do something soon, I’m going to get really annoyed,’ he said one more time. He looked around him and decided it would be safe to have a peek in the Smartbook.

Doctor says mum’s coming off chemo, it’s not been working. She’s got a few months left, he doesn’t know if it’ll be two or six, but unlikely to be much more. Baby’s only got another five months to go. If they don’t meet I’ll be devastated.

Baby kicked today, but refused to do it again for granny.

Mum’s going fast. ‘They said all my stars were spread evenly across the heavens and I would have a wonderful life,’ she said in her sleep today. ‘When you were ill, I moved my stars for you. I wished away my life for your happiness.’ She’s dreaming of dad again, but surely she knows by now that he’s not coming?

‘I'm going down so frail and cruel. Drunken disguise changes all the rules.’

Jaime came home drunk again. Dad said to steer clear of gamblers, womanizers and wife beaters. He never said anything about drunkards – that they sometimes turned into wife beaters too. ‘I don’t need no frakking baby,’ Jaime says when he aims for my belly. I’ll protect Baby, maybe one day he’ll protect me.

The sudden clatter of keys made Office Assistant jump. Without thinking, he closed Smartbook and innocently looked up to find her staring down at him. There was an expression of utter disbelief on her face and all he could think of doing was sending out the prompt: Need help?
