Chapter 1- Hailey Fields



I stared out my window, I watched as she rain fell. Drop, by drop. It has been raining for days. My mom Emily walked up behind me and rested her hands on my shoulder. I was adopted from China when I was a baby by my mom. I never met my dad, my mom said he died before she adopted me, but... I dunno.



"I was just on the phone with Mrs. Montgomery, It seems like Kylene is having a sleepover with Rose and Juliet. She want's to know If you would like to come over. They might invite Megan DiLaurentis if that's okay with you guys." My mom said to me, she seemed to almost hiss the word DiLaurentis.  It was the last name of my mom's bestfriend who died one night on the last day of seventh grade. Ali DiLaurentis, when she talked about her with Mrs. Campbell she sometimes said Courtney DiLaurentis and mentioned the Poconicos.



"Sure, I'll go." I said still staring at the rain. "Mom, Can we ever go to Jamica?" I asked turning around. My mom's face flushed.



"No." she then said and waked away.



I sighed and kept staring at the rain, thinking. Who is Courtney DiLaurentis? What happened in the Poconos? We can't we go to Jamica. But more importantly why did older people's face always flush when anyone said Emily Fields, Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery and Hanna Marin. Who were those people? I know Emily Fields because she is my mom. But who are Spencer, Aria and Hanna. The only one's I knew were Kylene Montgomery, Rose Kahn and Juliet Campbell's mothers. Then my phone suddenly buzzed I picked it up. I had 1 new text it was from unknown. I pressed read, It said:



Rosewood is full of secrets and so are my Pretty Little liars

Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin. But most importantly you're mom.

We all know your mom had a thing for little miss Ali DiLaurentis or should I say

Courtney DiLaurentis.
