Poem I wrote in response to my best friends poem.
How could you do this to me?

How could you make me fall in love with you all over again?

Is this really meant to be?

We were only supposed to be friends!

I want to question if this love is forced.

I want to question if this love could ruin what used to be.

But I would rather let it run its course.

I would rather let there be a you and me.

For me to say those three words first.

Fills my body head to toe with fright.

I'm scared you won't quench this thirst.

I'm scared that we aren't right.

I want to hold you close and tight.

I want to never let you go.

I want to tell you it's alright.

I want to be yours, don't you know?

My best friend forever,

the love of my life.

Will you join me on this great endeavor?

And ask me to be your wife?
