A short poem inspired by women who just settle for a bad relationship.
It's time to look in the mirror to face what you see.
You're making excuses faithfully.
A man that you love, but cannot trust.
By the end of the night, you are overcome with lust.
The sins and dangers of dying within give the dark on an evil grin.
You want to do right but he always goes left.
He is ignorant to the many nights you've wept.
Inside you cry while the outside shines.
No talking will occur. "Forever, you'll be mine."
'Til death do you part is where life will start.
The ticking of the clock, the beating of a heart.
Longing for an exit you wait patiently.
"When will the light come, come for me?"
