Holding onto that sense of power you feel when you're not sober and living by it.
Adolescent creativity.

As I walked across the crimson sky,
I shielded my eyes from the light.
My thoughts run wild, lonesome and free
I grow taller; regaining my sight.

You see problems, are they lost or solved?
When I'm up here, enjoying the view.
Fixed in a tranquil state of dreaming,
an insight of creativity; acute & brand new.

Blurred concepts, obtrusive ideas,
imagery so expansive and full.
My curious mind seduced by fantasy,
flooded by colour so bright, yet so dull.

A mix of emotions; no rights & no wrongs,
we travel from one feeling to another.
But on foot, it's slow & we take our time,
as there is so much to uncover.

'I'll paint you a picture. I'll write you a book.'
he whispered as he grabbed my arm.
Inhaling ideas, as we gathered up dust,
he scribbled the words that began at my palm:

“A state less than sober, a cloud full of smoke,
waves of vision inspire a limitless tale.
In the moment we live, for a movement we give,
before we fall from the sky & our intentions become stale.”

Wear a dress that breaks all fashion rules,
re sight a poem that vividly conveys your fight.
And when the morning arrives, try to still remember
sometimes their wrong is your right.
