Living soft thoughts in hard questions.
Gee Whiz…

Was it the stars, or was it more
Or was it just God’s open door
A moment in time, a brief respite
Where clocks stopped ticking and all was right

The world faded away, it just disappeared
All was at peace, and nothing was feared
Now here in heart’s soft candle glow
Stuck with answers I’m wanting to know

Softness and warmth are today’s lonely cover
Sitting here missing my sweet almost lover
Her heart, her face, her beauty within
Cause me pause on what might have been

Fondly I think, and smile I do
Still can’t get my mind off of you.
Yes, hope for a future that’s not in the past
But it’s desire for you, where my lot is cast

The princess is still growing
T’is my heart still glowing
A pirate’s smile in meadow brown
My fire’s trial is the silence soun’
