The crescent moon
Overripe watermelon
Honey on my tongue

Count 28 sliced
Hot eye of heaven sleeping
Melon Moon assumes

Dark; it grows waxing
For the man wonders, smiling
Tastes the cream melon

Greedy nibbler!
The melon to little crumbs
The gardener, silent

The crescent of moon
Counting 28 slices
Melon Man returns
