Spiritual exprience, about being lost and being stuck in the world as a spirit.

Part 1

It was supposed to be morning now In Melbourne but I looked out the window and there was no sunlight, then I looked at my alarm clock and it said 4am. There was no way that the sun would be out this early in Melbourne. Even during the day the sun would not shine in the sky at its fullest potential. I went back to my bed hoping to sleep in till noon, that’s how I feel every morning living in this city I always feel so drowsy. But half an hour later my mum was calling out my name.

“Wake up Daisy, come on we have to be on the road to Brisbane, in about half an hour your dad is expecting us to be in the car.” Mum said.

It took great will power and strength for me to get out of my warm and cosy bed and enter into the cold harsh reality of my day. Today mum, dad and I are travelling to Brisbane to stay with my brother and sis in law for a couple of weeks, just to get to know Brisbane because my dad is planning to move there, apparently for its great weather. My father is the type of person who makes the decision for everyone in the family and his spontaneous he will do what he wants. I had to talk him into seeing what the city was like before moving there permanently, because that is what cautious logical people do. They plan and then act, my father is the opposite he acts and then he plans it can get very annoying at times.

Obviously you already know my name its Daisy, mums name is Stephanie we call her Stephy, well I call her mum because she is my mum, but her friends they call her Stephy including my dad Richard. My older brothers name is Victory, he always has to say to people he meets new he says “No my name is not Victor, its Victory with the Y” my sis in laws name is Antonietta apparently it’s a Bulgarian name; she mostly grew up in Bulgaria.

My father plans to drive from Melbourne to Brisbane, both of these cities are in different states in Australia. Melbourne is in Victoria and Brisbane in Queensland it is going to take us 20 hours and 18 minutes to get to Brisbane from Melbourne. So let me be more specific for those who may one day decide to Caravan around Australia. My father plans to drive nonstop from Melbourne to Sydney that’s a 9 hour drive well with rest stops of course. Sydney is in the State of New South Wales. From Sydney it takes about 10 hours to get to Brisbane so basically I am very doomed.
We had packed our clothes for the trip last night so we got ready fast, on the way out of the city of Melbourne we had breakfast at Maccas. (Mc Donald’s)  We each had a hash brown and hot cakes along with a good cuppa. That’s a Cup of Caw fee (coffee).

Then we got on the road again.

Part 2

It was 12 noon when I woke up, I was sleeping on the back seat of our family hatch back its a Citroën a French brand and its going to be mine later when I can be bothered getting my licence. My dad Richard was still driving he doesn’t easily get tired when he drives, but his been driving for a while now. When I woke up my mum suggested that we take a break and have some more coffee. We had a good long break and dad stretched out his legs and did a bit of exercise before we hopped back in the car.

Dad drove for another hour, I saw a couple of Kangaroos Skipping alongside our car they were out of the bushes getting closer I warned dad to be careful when suddenly they were closer and hopped in front of us, dad hit the brakes and the car skidded like crazy across the road to a stop. If dad hit those Kangaroos by accident the damage to the Kangaroos, the car and our time would have been huge. Luckily there were no other cars in sight otherwise they would have also had some damage. The Kangaroos hopped back in the bushes a little traumatised and dazed. We checked the motor and wheels of our car to make sure it was safe to continue, and we were on the road again.

We were on the road for another three hours and arrived in Sydney, we decided to stay for a while to rest and dad had a good power nap to rest because he planned to continue driving he didn’t like wasting too much time.
When he woke up from his power nap I asked my dad.

“What’s the rush to getting to Brisbane dad? Why don’t we stay overnight at a motel or something?”

“Because we don’t have many days to spend there I have to get back to Melbourne as soon as I can to get back to work.” dad said.

“I agree with Daisy Richard you’re getting way too tired and you’re going to have a really bad back ache.” Said mum

“Yeah all right, there is a town up 4 hours from here we’ll get there by night time, tomorrow we will only have 6 hours left on the drive to Brisbane if we stay there.”

“It’s called Taringa, its best if we make it there tonight, you saw what happened with the roo’s, there will be more where that came from during the night and they will be less noticeable. And that’s dangerous.” dad said.

“Ok then let’s go dad if you like I can drive for the next two hours.” I said.

Dad gave me the keys to the car, I managed to drive for three hours before my back and leg started aching.  Dad asked me if I could drive for another hour but I couldn’t manage, he was so used driving long distances but I wasn’t.

Part 3

We finally made it to Taringa and found the local motel. It was called Taringa Motel it was 7pm by now and we checked in, the lady took us to the room second to the end of the motel.  We were hungry we hadn’t had any dinner yet so as soon as we settled into the room, my parents went to buy some dinner they were talking about buying BBQ (Barbeque) Chicken and some salad which was a good idea for me because I felt very hungry.

I didn’t go with them I decided to have a shower instead, as I was having a shower I thought I heard something going on in the room, I thought wow my parents are back pretty quick but then I thought that was impossible because there wasn’t many shops close by that we could buy food from they would of had to drive there. So I called out just to make sure.

“Hey mum dad, are you already back?” but there was no answer so I turned the water back on.

A minute passed and as I was washing the shampoo off my hair I heard the same noise like something was dropped or knocked around, I decided to turn the water off and go out of the bathroom to check what it was about, there was no one in the room and I had a weird feeling like when you feel someone is watching you but you don’t know who. I went back into the bathroom and continued to have my shower and decided that the noise must have been coming from the other room because they had kids.

Both my parents came back with the chicken and salad for dinner; they did drive there and back. They were back in about 20 minutes. As my mum and dad were walking in through the front door of the room I saw the lady with her kids walking to the room next to ours, they had been swimming in the motels swimming pool.

We had our dinner we were tired now and needed some rest. I definitely needed some more sleep because whether you’re driving or not you still get very tired from all that travelling but for dad it was worse he could hardly keep his eyes open.
We all brushed our teeth wore our PJ’Z and went to bed, my parents slept on the queen bed I slept on the single farthest to the corner of the room right across the bathroom closest to the motel room kitchen counter.

I was so tired that when I went to sleep I wouldn’t wake up even if there was a party right outside the motel room. Dad was the same but even more tired than I was because he was snoring like the titanic ship horns. It was very loud yet I still slept through it all.

Part 4

When I woke up it was morning or was it the afternoon because I didn’t have to be woken up been shaken, dragged or squirted with water out of bed. It was surprisingly warm it felt like summer, which explained the next room’s kids swimming in the pool. I checked the time on my phone and to my utter shock it said 7:30AM gees whiz it was early, my parents had woken up, they were drinking coffee mine was waiting for me they must have just bought it smelled great in the room. Like roasted coffee, my parents were talking they hadn’t noticed that I was awake probably because they knew they were use to them dragging me out of my bed.

My parents were whispering to each other the conversation sounded very strange.

“I know you’re dream or nightmare felt real and I believe in the sort of topic you’re talking about, but you can’t tell the motel owners they will be frightened or worse they will laugh at you then call the crazy house to come pick you up, we can’t help this girl you’re talking about.” Said my dad

“YES! Richard it did feel very much real but I feel that I need to help her, the little girl said she was stuck here and that she wasn’t found.” Mum said.

Ok this sounded like a strange conversation to have, what exactly or who exactly was my mum talking about this got me very curious, so I got up washed my face and sat next to my mum.

“What dream or nightmare? What little girl are you talking about mum?” I asked.

“Oh nothing sweetie don’t you worry about it.” Mum said.

“Daaad! What is this about what are you guys talking about I so want to know it sounds intriguing.” I said.

“Your mum will tell you later Daisy, for now we have to get ready to go back on the road we still have six hours to travel to Brisbane we will hopefully make it there by dinner time, Antonietta is cooking up another storm.” Dad said.

“Do you promise to tell  mum please I want to know it sounds very interesting, please?” I said to mum.

She gave me a positive nod saying yes I will tell you but not right now, because she did look very tired. Whatever the dream or nightmare was it kept her up at night made her tired she also looked kinda frightened, and confused her eyes were sunken but wide open. Mum started getting ready to get back on the road; dad had already gone for a shower. Mum looked at me.

“What are you doing Daisy? Oh you’re still drinking your coffee, how about you get ready and drink at the same time.” Mum said.

I agreed and started getting ready; it was hot so I wore a pair of jeans and a shirt with a thin trow on jacket.  I put everything back in my bag and once my dad was out of the shower I went in and combed my hair and put it up in a ponytail.  When everyone was ready we collected our bags and walked out of the door, we looked back into the room one last time to see if we had forgotten anything. I looked at my mum she looked back like as if she had forgotten her sanity behind, her face expression was confusion, dad looked back in the room to see what we might have left behind then my parents looked at each other weird and we closed the door and locked it.

We checked out of the motel room at the reception centre of Taringa Motel it wasn’t far to walk. Dad paid the owner mum was looking at him they looked like they were trying to decide, probably about what they were saying in the room about the dream or nightmare.

I was still very curious about what they were saying in the motel room my mum had promised to tell me what she saw, she usually tells me this sorter stuff, like the last time she saw a dream that had any meaning.
We checked out of the motel and got into our car which was again packed in the luggage compartment.  We went to Maccas again for brekkie and had the usual things to eat and drink.  It was great because it’s my favourite kind of breakfast. I was expecting my mum to tell me her story but she didn’t and I didn’t want to ask because it felt like it was too soon, I left it up to her to tell me when she can tell me. But as time went by my curiosity grew and started to drive me up the wall.  So I tried to forget about the story I so desperately wanted to hear and concentrated on enjoying my breakfast and second cuppa coffee.
We finished our breakfast and left the Taringa McDonalds went back on the road for the long drive to Brisbane, we had 6 hours ahead of us. I can’t wait till the long trip is over because it makes me very tired to be travelling so long.

“Hey dad make sure we have breaks again in between you don’t want to make yourself to tired, we don’t have to rush.” I said.

“I told you Daisy, Antonietta is cooking for us tonight and I would like to get there before the food goes cold.” Dad said.

“Doesn’t matter dad we can call her and tell her so that she times her cooking just before we make it into the city.” I replied.

“Yeah all right we can call her soon.” He said.

I gave him a nod and started reading my novel the first edition of Twilight which seemed like a good romantic story I was only on the second chapter of the story.

I was enjoying the book when my dad pulled the car over and parked the car near what looked like a nice park; I looked at the clock on the cars dashboard and saw that two hours had passed already and I was on the tenth chapter of the Twilight story the book was very interesting it was a fantasy. But I stopped reading it when my parents opened the car doors to get out, a whiff of fresh air breezed across my face which felt so great. I put a book mark in the current chapter, and got out of the backseat of the car.

The air outside was so refreshing and when I looked around properly I could see a great country landscape. The grass was green and the sky was a gorgeous blue with no cloud in site, we saw the coffee shop and dad went for it, to get us some more coffee. Mum and I walked to the picnic bench that was under the shade of the big eucalyptus tree. We sat down and looked around us mum smiled at me and she took a big breath of fresh air in to her lungs and exhaled and repeated I copied what she was doing because the oxygen around us felt great to breath in. When I looked at the coffee bar there was a line so dad was going to be a while, I hoped that the coffee is good to drink here.

I looked over at mum and she was still looking around enjoying the nice country view of Australia, the sun was shining, the weather was great. Mum looked back at me and I looked back she knew I wanted to know about her story the nightmare and what happened. I looked at her pleadingly.

“Are you sure Daisy that you can handle this story because I do not want you to have any nightmares, what you want to hear is not an easy subject to believe or accept?” mum said.

“I will be fine mum just tell me about your dream or nightmare please. I want to know about it.” I said to her.

“Ok I will tell you, but you must promise to not be scared by it because I’m not sure myself, do you understand?” she said.

“Yes I understand mum, I promise I won’t be frightened by your story.” I replied to her question.

My dad came back with the coffee; mum gave my dad a look.

“Are you planning on telling her about the nightmare or dream, message whatever it was?” dad said.

“Yes I’ am going to tell her about it.” Mum responded.

Dad looked at me this time with a questioning face expression which made me laugh.

“Oh Muh God, dad no I won’t be scared of mums story.” I said to him in response to his face expression.

“Go on mum start this will probably be a long story.” I said to mum.

“Well if you don’t want to hear it then just say so then.” Mum said with a smirk.

“Nooo! Muuum! I want to hear it tell me.” I said.

Mum took a sip of coffee and looked at me and she started to tell me the story of her dream.

Mums story:

‘I was sleeping; suddenly someone was trying to shake me out of my sleep. When I opened my eyes and turned to look at who it was I saw a little blonde girl with blue eyes, she was wearing a floral sun dress it was faded a bit. She looked like she was 9 or 10 years old, she wanted me to get out of bed.’

“Get up, Get up, please get up I want to show you something.”

‘The little girl said, I was scared I didn’t want to go with her. She continued to beg me to go with her a few times. I looked and your dad was sleeping next to me and you were sleeping on the single bed across the room as we had decided. I was scared so I looked at your dad and I tried to wake him up.’

“Please don’t wake him up, please don’t wake him up.”

‘She said with her little voice, then she looked at you and went next to you, she started bouncing on you and on the bed you were sleeping on. So I said to her.’

“Stop bouncing on her, you’re going to wake her up.”

“Ok”

‘She said and then she stopped bouncing and jumped off the bed, she looked back at you and then me.’

“Your daughter is going to be successful, she is going to have a good career and she is going to be famous for what she does.”

‘Then she walked back next to me and took my hand, we both walked to the little window right above your beds head, to look out of the window the girl climbed up on the motel rooms kitchen bench she told me to do the same so I did.’

‘When we looked outside of the window, I could see a large country paddock, a very big bit of country land. On this large area I could also see a set up of tents like for a festival there were animals like the giraffe, lions and Zebras so I guessed that it was set up to perform for the locals as a circus.’

“I lived here, my mother and father worked for the circus. We migrated here from Britain because times there were tough.” ‘The little girl said to me’

‘The girl got off the bench and ran for the main windows of the motel room. When we looked out of these windows I could see the same bit of country land which continued to circulate us. But this time this side of the land included a large pond it looked deep but I wasn’t sure because it was muddy water. There was a large water mill turning in the water making a creepy creaking sound when it turned and it also made a knocking sound as two pieces hit each other at the top of the mill. It was one of those olden day ones it was made out of wood, like the ones you see in the western country cowboy movies. The little girl looked up at me and pointed at the big pond full of murky and muddy water.’

“I fell in when I was playing around the pond, I drowned in there and I died, my family couldn’t find me.”

“I heard them yelling out my name but it had sounded so faint I couldn’t respond to them because I was sinking and had too much water in my lungs I knew how to swim a little bit but I was weighed down by my cloths and the mud I wasn’t strong enough to resurface.”

‘The little girl told me her story; there was sadness and regret in her eyes. It was obvious the little girl felt guilty for leaving her parents behind, for not saying goodbye. She held my hand again and tried to drag me towards the door.’

“Please let’s go out there together I have to show you” ‘she kept saying’

“I do not want to go out there, I am afraid I won’t be able to comeback.”  ‘I said’

‘I knew that everything she showed me was not real, the image I saw out of the window wasn’t really there she was showing me the past, it was obviously a very long time ago. I knew that instead of the pond there was a modern day pool there. And that we were sleeping in a rented motel room at the Taringa Motel. As the little girl and I were struggling and couldn’t come up with an agreement, I woke up to the real world and I was sweating.’

‘I couldn’t tell whether that was real or if it was just a dream. It felt so real I was still to afraid. I looked around the room and saw that you and your dad were sleeping. So I drank some water, and crawled back into bed next to your dad and I tried to sleep. But the little blonde girl was still on my mind, I was emotionally affected by the dream, everything had felt so real, from her shaking me awake, holding my hand, climbing on the bench, to her dragging me towards the door. This was the first time I had ever experienced something so real and intense from the spirit world.’

“That’s the conclusion of my dream Daisy, and I hope you won’t let it affect you like it did me.” Mum said.

I looked at mum and I smiled at her to show her that I wasn’t afraid of these types of real life experiences it was only exaggerated in the cliché movies after all.

“No mum it did not affect me after all I was quite entertained actually, sitting here relaxing drinking me coffee listening to you.” I said

Dad gave me a look and started laughing his head off at me.

“Then why were you listening to your mums dream with huge owl eyes Daisy if you weren’t afraid and entertained.” Dad said still laughing very loud.

I rolled my eyes, because if I was afraid I would of acted like the typical sceptic and argued that there is no spiritual realms and only science existed.

“I was very interested in the story, I really liked it, unlike you dad I would of convinced mum to stay and help the little girl to pass or something.” I said smirking at him.

He looked at me like I was very crazy.

“And that’s how everybody would have looked at your mother Daisy like she belonged in the crazy house.” Dad said

“I agree" mum said "besides it was a long time ago sweetie, this little girl died a long time ago her remains are no longer there.”

“Forensics has come a long way mum trust me they could have found her body remains it doesn’t have to be in one piece.” I said.

“What you don’t understand honey is that they won’t believe us, the pond was replaced by the swimming pool.” Mum said with a finalising tone.

“Ok, ok I prefer to be in Brisbane anyways, let’s go, dad did you call my brothers house? Did you tell them when we can make it to their place?” I asked.

“Oh shoot I should do that give me a minute.” He said

Mum and I both rolled our eyes at dad this time;  he gave us a look that proved he was annoyed.
Me and mum went to the bathroom then went back to the car; dad was still talking with my brother about directions. When he hung up he pointed towards the bathroom.

“Ok we’ll wait for you in the car.” Mum said.

Mum and I got into the car this time I sat in the front seat.

“Daisy, I need you to agree on something here.” Mum said.

“Yes mum what is it?”I said.

“Your dad and I agreed not to tell anyone about this story, maybe gradually, especially with your brother and sister in law she will be frightened the most.” Mum said.

“So please don’t go telling them ok, if I decide to I will.” She said.

“They won’t understand what happened or what it all means.” She continued on.

“I understand mum I won’t tell them I promise, you have nothing to worry about.” I said.

“Ok I’m glad you understand what I’m trying to say.” Mum said.

“Yeah it was pretty clear mum.” I said.

“Don’t be sarcastic with me Daisy, it’s very rude.” Mum said.

“I wasn’t being sarcastic mum.” I said laughing.

Dad came back from the bathroom and sat in the driver’s seat ready to go to Brisbane.  He backed out of the parking spot and drove out of the picnic resting area. We only had about 3 and a half hours to get to my brother Victory’s house.
The road to Brisbane was a very pleasant one, there were some great views to see because we were driving by the seaside and there were a lot of pretty mountain slopes with beautiful and big green trees. I rolled my window down and breathed in the fresh air of the close seaside it smelled like fresh seaweed and salty water of the sea and the sun was shining it was a warm day. My energy was boosted by a 100 watts and I was happy it looked like I was going to like Queensland and Brisbane. Victory my brother was right to brag about how beautiful Brisbane was and about its seaside and beaches. We were getting closer to Brisbane for sure and I was getting more and more excited.

A few hours later we were in Brisbane, dad started driving more carefully and slower so that we don’t miss the right streets to turn into. We kind of got lost but it wasn’t hard to find the right streets, we finally got to my brothers home and it was unit made with brown bricks its was cute and cosy.

We knocked on their door their door bell didn’t work as we tried that first. My brother opened the door with a big smile. How cute I thought obviously glad to see us arrive.

“Finally you guys are here I was starving to death.” My brother Victory said.

“Hey bro!” I said giving my brother a big hug.

“Hey sis!” my brother said.

“Yeah we are finally here and we are also hungry, but first we need to rest.” Said mum and dad.

“Ok well come on in, why are you still outside?” asked my sister in law.

We took our shoes off and went inside the little unit, it was nice inside the little unit and my brother and sister in law had arranged their furniture nicely. It started raining outside and then it poured on more strongly the smell of wet dirt was very nice the weather was warm.

I knew that I am going to be happier here then I am in Melbourne.

The End.
